Analysis and modelling of the Phalaborwa Barrage, which is strongly influenced by sedimentation and serves as a local drinking and industrial water reservoir. Due to the location of the project area close to the Kruger National Park, the evaluation and optimisation of water management measures against an ecological background is necessary, particularly with regard to the increasingly frequent drought phases.
